BELTING FOR THE BISCUIT INDUSTRY

Cotton Biscuit Webbing

The traditional method of biscuit processing used cotton belting throughout the plant. Many plants still use these belts both in heavyweight (WB2) and lightweight (WB3) cotton.

A widely used method of forming biscuit shapes is with a cutter. Tough, strong webbing is needed to resist the action of the cutter. WB3 is woven to required width with top grade cotton yarns giving a product a smooth enough surface to avoid marking the biscuit and with adhesion such that the biscuit neither sticks too firmly nor lifts too easily.

Rotary Moulder

Rotary Moulder Belts

Rotary moulder belts generically known as bray bands or bray webs are a bespoke woven endless belt used to produce biscuit shapes on rotary moulders. Made from the highest quality cotton and linen yarns, they provide excellent extraction from the moulder whilst readily discharging the biscuit shape onto the oven feed band. These webs are designed to operate with all dough types.

We can weave truly endless belts in a combination of cotton/polyester, cotton/nylon, 100% cotton and 100% polyester. We believe that along with our wealth of experience and our adaptable manufacturing process we can offer the most complete service to supply every application within the rotary moulder industry.
